Dr Maria Jesus Provedo Born in Navarre, Spain, Maria Provedo studied odontology in Bilbao (UPV university). After graduating, she fulfilled various masters on periodontics, endodontics, different oral rehabilitation philosophies, prosthesis and TMJ. She took OBI’s levels 1, 2 and 3 in San Sebastian (Spain) and she took level 4 in Denver, Colorado. She felt really inspired by Dr. Rocabado’s classes. She has shared many hours of her live next to Max Bosshart (Gerber Method, Switzerland), learning about the gothic arch’s interpretation. She teaches about complete prosthesis following Gerber’s work method. She has also given classes for the FACE group in foreign countries such as Russia, Turkey, Rumania, Holland, Poland, as well as in Spain, too. She uses the microscope in her daily work. Maria believes that it is impossible to fulfill a quality work without using this element. From mixing every philosophy that. She has learned, Maria developed a work method called Biofunctional. |

Santiago, CHILE Back in 1984 - 1987 Rocabado (11- 12 - 13) showed that 65.1 % of the pediatric population being treated for Orthodontics purpose, were headache symptomatic conditions, and showed the most important finding a loss of the physiological curvature of the spine with a straight or an inverted spine. This might be the reason why such large percentage of young pediatric population between the ages of 8 to 12 years present loss of cervical lordosis and are symptomatic. The beginning of a multifactorial condition for common headache patients that is not a problem of age. Later Rocabado showed that degeneration of the spine in symptomatic patients was as high as 68 % in patients that had loss of the physiological curvature of the spine with abnormal craniocervical relation. |
